ESTA Entwicklungspreis für Terex® Demag CC 8800-1 TWIN

During the ESTA (European Association of Heavy Haulage, Transport and Mobile Cranes) awards celebration on June 3, 2008 Terex Demag received the “Development of the Year 2008” award for its Terex® Demag CC 8800-1 Twin. The event took place during the first „International Rental Exhibition“ in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The Terex® Demag CC 8800-1 Twin is the world´s largest lattice boom crawler crane with a max. lifting capacity of 3,200 tonnes (3500 tons).

The awards also honoured extraordinary transport jobs in diverse weight categories. Especially unusual was the transport of a 750 year old church, for which Mammoet BV, based in the Netherlands, received the “Transport of the Year over 120 tonnes” award.

The development team around project leaders Hans-Peter Franzen (Organisation) and Fritz-Botho Köster (Engineering) received the Award at Terex Demag representative for all parties involved and thanks to all colleagues for their contributions to the success of the project.
